This mural had been a long time dream of Faith Schexnayder from Flatfork Studio. Taking her vision, I gathered photos of all the characters from South Austin’s past and present: Leslie, Don Walser, Ray Benson, Danny Young, Carolyn Wonderland, WC Clark, and Leeann Atherton. Then I designed the layout of the final mural pictured below. The mural was painted by several great Austin artists like Neil Cronk, Heather Joy Thomas, Rory Skagen, Faith, and myself. The mural is at the South First Food Court at S 1st and Live Oak.
