I was hired by artist Hunter Cross to make molds for casting glass to realize his Austin Art in Public Places Project. His original design was digitally rendered and then 3-D printed to make the original master copy. A mold of that was made, and then a silicone positive was cast from that mold. That silicone positive was then used to cast negative molds for the final green glass pieces. After casting the glass, I had to dissolve and remove the mold as the surface area of the piece made any other removal impossible.
