We were asked by the Austin Trail of Lights Foundation to help them realize a brand new activation for the 50th anniversary of the event. The idea was to create a giant gingerbread house that housed candy making and exciting candy machines to give out free candy for visitors.
This concept was created by fabricating a modular facade with removable relief elements that can be easily stored. The 16′ X 33′ facade has almost 70 pieces of hand carved candy and an integrated truss system on the back for secure attachment to scaffolding. All of the features are hard coated for outdoor use and to stand up to the rigors of installation and strike for years to come.
