What do you do when you want a bronze sculpture, but don’t have the budget for bronze? You fake it. The sculpture was fabricated by Blue Genie Art and sculptor Joshua Krezinski for the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, TX on the University of Texas campus. I was tasked with making the foam and epoxy sculpture look like cast bronze. The finish was achieved with a chocolate brown automotive base paint, and then airbrushed multiple colors over the piece for the final look.
